The Red Maskinongé Pepper is a rare and emblematic variety of Quebec , passionately cultivated in the Maskinongé region, from which it takes its name. This unique pepper , with its bright red color and slightly sweet flavor , is appreciated for its perfect balance between sweetness and heat .

With a moderate heat of 2,500 SHU , it offers a rich taste experience , with smoky notes and a touch of sweetness that blend perfectly with spicy sauces, marinades, salsas and stews . Used fresh, dried or powdered , it brings a local and gourmet signature to Quebec and international recipes .

Cultivation method:

Planting in open ground or in a pot: After the last frost, space the plants 40 cm apart in rich, well-drained soil. In pots, use a container of at least 7 liters .
Care: Water regularly without soaking the soil. Fertilize every 2 to 3 weeks with a balanced fertilizer. Prune lightly to encourage branching and increase production.
