Coming from a probable cross between a Naga Morich and a Bhut Jolokia Chocolat , it reaches an intensity of around 1,000,000 SHU , ranking it among the hottest peppers in the world .

Its exceptional aesthetics make it a true work of botanical art . Its fruits, 5 cm (2 inches) long , initially display a very dark purple color, almost black , before changing to an incandescent red when ripe. Even at this stage, black reflections remain visible , adding to its mysterious and fascinating allure.

Cultivation method:

  3. Transplanting: When the seedlings have 4 to 6 true leaves , transplant them into larger pots before acclimating them to the outdoors.
  4. Planting in open ground or in a pot: After the last frost, space the plants 40 to 50 cm apart in rich, well-drained soil. In pots, use a container of at least 7 liters .
  5. Maintenance: Water regularly without soaking the soil. Fertilize every 2 to 3 weeks with a balanced fertilizer.
  6. Harvest: About 100 to 120 days after sowing , the fruits turn from deep black to bright red , while retaining impressive dark highlights .
