For an early start, start seeds 2-3 weeks before the last frost indoors in peat pots or Jiffy 7's at 70°F (21°C). Harden off seedlings before transplanting outdoors. Maintain regular watering and fertilize twice during the season with a granular fertilizer such as 15-5-15 or equivalent. Germination takes 7-10 days.
