How to Grow:
Zucchinis are warm-season plants that need full sun and rich, organic, deep, well-draining soil with a pH of 5.5 to 6.5. Incorporate compost into the soil before planting. Direct sow outdoors from late May to mid-June, 2.5 cm deep, with 4–6 seeds per hill spaced 2.4 m apart. Once seeds germinate, thin to 3 plants per hill. For an earlier start, begin seeds indoors 3 weeks before planting. Use biodegradable pots that can be planted directly in the soil. Protect mature plants from frost. Germination occurs in approximately 7 days.
