Coreopsis 'Early Sunrise' (Coreopsis grandiflorum), offered by OSC Seeds
Winner of the AAS and Fleuroselect gold medals, this popular perennial brightens gardens with its large, fluffy, golden-yellow flowers. On sturdy 45 cm stems, the blooms are perfect for borders or as cut flowers. Easy to grow, it self-seeds readily and retains its vibrant color when dried. Hardy to zone 3, it's an excellent low-maintenance addition to any garden.

How to Grow:
Direct sow outdoors or start indoors 10 weeks before planting for early summer blooms in the first year. Sow outdoors from April to June or again in August–early September for flowering the following year. Thin seedlings to 30 cm apart in the garden. Divide mature plants every 3–4 years. Germination occurs in 10–12 days at 21°C. After germination, grow under lights at a cooler temperature of 12°C before hardening off and transplanting to a sunny or partially shaded spot.
