Evening primrose is an easy-to-grow, drought-tolerant native plant that does well in a range of soils. No pre-treatment is required. Sow seeds on the surface of the soil, taking care not to let the seedlings dry out as they establish. Once established, it flowers continuously from early summer to autumn, with lemon-scented yellow flowers opening in the evening and continuing into the late morning.
