'Glory of Enkhuizen' cabbage is easy to grow and thrives in rich, well-drained soils and full sun. This variety is suitable for spring crops for a summer or early autumn harvest.

To get started, sow seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost or directly into the ground when the soil is sufficiently warmed. Sow 1 cm deep and space plants 40-60 cm apart in rows 60 cm apart. Maintain a temperature of 18-24°C for rapid germination, which usually occurs in 7-14 days.

Water regularly to keep the soil evenly moist, especially while the apples are growing. Apply mulch to limit evaporation and reduce weeds. Harvest apples when they are well-formed and firm, before they become overripe to ensure a crisp texture.

Robust and reliable, the 'Glory of Enkhuizen' cabbage is a versatile variety, suitable for fresh consumption as well as for storage in sauerkraut or in the freezer.
