The leaves of Garden Chives have a delicate flavour, halfway between garlic and onion, making them ideal for enhancing the taste of salads, sauces, stews, vinaigrettes and omelettes. They are often eaten fresh, and are best added at the end of cooking to retain their subtle aroma. The plant grows to about 30 to 40 cm tall and forms dense clumps that return each year.

Hardy to zone 3, this chive variety prefers well-drained soil and a sunny location. It can be grown both indoors and outdoors, providing a continuous harvest throughout the season. Leaves are ready to harvest approximately 90 days after sowing, allowing gardeners to enjoy its aromas all year long.
