Italian chicory 'Indigo F1' is one of the earliest and most popular radicchio varieties on the market. It stands out for its exceptional quality and uniformity of plants. Producing large, round, dense heads of an intense bright red with very white veins, this high-yielding chicory adds a vibrant splash of color and a slightly bitter flavor to your salads.

Cultivation method:
Sow directly in the ground or start indoors 4 to 6 weeks before the last frost. Plant seeds 0.5 to 1 cm deep in well-drained, fertile soil. Space plants 30 cm apart in the row and leave 40 to 50 cm between rows to allow for optimum growth. Prefers a sunny location, but this chicory will also tolerate light shade.
Water regularly to maintain even moisture, especially during hot, dry periods. Harvest when apples are well formed and firm, usually 70 days after sowing.
