Cultivation method:
Sow seeds indoors about 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Use a peat moss-based mix for best germination at 70-75°F (21-24°C). When seedlings are 1.5 inches (4cm), transplant into individual pots and reduce the temperature to 60-65°F (15-18°C). Once hardened off, transplant into open ground in late May, spacing 3 feet (90cm) apart.
Plants require a sturdy stake and full sun exposure. Water regularly at the base and apply mulch to preserve moisture. Rotate crops annually to prevent disease.
