Hollyhock 'Chater's Double Mixed' transforms gardens into a symphony of vibrant colour. These majestic plants grow to 2m tall and boast fully double flowers in varying shades of pink, salmon, yellow, red, white and buff. Although a biennial, this variety can become a garden staple because it is easy to re-sow. For continued effect, sow annually for two years. Hardy and durable, it thrives in areas up to zone 3.

Cultivation method:

Start seeds indoors in March in a soilless mix to maximize blooms. Maintain a constant temperature of 65°F (18°C) for 21-28 days for successful germination. Once germinated, place young plants in bright light, then harden them off before transplanting to a sunny site. Direct sowing can be done from May to August for flowering the following year. Space plants 30 inches (75cm) apart to promote optimal growth.
