Its flowering, which coincides with the national holiday of Quebec in June brings a touch of freshness and vitality to ponds, ditches and banks. Sowing instructions : Lightly scratch the surface of the seeds by rubbing them between two sandpapers. Soak them for 24 hours in boiled water (cooled after 5 minutes). Then mix the seeds with an equal volume of sand or vermiculite moist, then place them in an airtight plastic bag. Leave them in the refrigerator for at least 90 days (cold stratification). Sow directly in the desired location as soon as the temperature becomes mild or in the fall for natural germination at next spring or later.
