Cultivation method:
Sow seeds indoors in a soilless mix in early March. Give the seeds a cold treatment by refrigerating or freezing for 10 days to improve germination. Then place under light at 68°F (20°C). After germination, grow on at a slightly cooler temperature, then harden off and transplant to a sunny site. For natural stratification, sow directly in the fall. Germination can take 10 to 30 days.
