Fordhook Giant Swiss chard appeared on European markets during the 1920s. It conquered America a decade later thanks to the pleasant and refreshing flavor of its leaf blades, as well as its beautiful and good white petioles.
The 60-70 cm tall plants form a bouquet of large blistered leaves of a beautiful dark green. The abundant harvest throughout the season begins 25 days after sowing for young shoots and 50 to 60 days after sowing for mature leaves.
This very vigorous, fast-growing variety offers high yield and good disease resistance.
