Gaia / Dyers’ Coreopsis / Ecologically Grown / Annual Type

Coreopsis des dyers seeds – Open pollinated – Annual type – Heirloom – Ecologically Cultivated.

Native to North America, this yellow/mahogany flower with several heads, a thin stem and fern leaves grows very easily. It prefers full sun to produce abundant flowers. The more you pick its flower heads, the more it produces. Seedlings can be started indoors a few weeks before the last frost and transplanted when they have reached a height of 2” or sown directly after any chance of frost. Bees are very attracted to these flowers. When used for dyeing, they color wool or silk from yellow to orange. When used on cotton, the color is very pale.
