Sow seeds directly into the ground when the soil has warmed, or start indoors 4-6 weeks before the last frost. This kale prefers well-drained soil, rich in organic matter, with a slightly acidic to neutral pH (6.0 to 7.0).
Water regularly to maintain consistent moisture, especially during hot spells. Harvest outer leaves as soon as they reach a suitable size, allowing the central leaves to develop for continued production.
