Sow 2.5 cm (1") deep , spacing plants 10-15 cm (4-6") apart and rows 30-45 cm (12-18") apart . For a fall harvest , sow in late summer , avoiding hot, dry periods.
Harvesting and storage
Harvest when the peas start to form in the pod and continue picking until they reach their maximum length of 7cm (3") . For best texture and sweetest flavour , harvest them at half their size , about a week after flowering . Store them at 1-2°C , where they will keep for about a week .
