Cultivation method
Sow indoors 6-8 weeks before planting out . Maintain a temperature of 25-32°C for optimal germination (7-21 days). When plants are 10-15cm tall, gradually harden them off to 18-19°C before transplanting into the ground. Plant 1.5cm (1/2") deep , spacing plants 30-45cm (12-18") apart and rows 45-60cm (18-24") apart. Full sun and regular but moderate watering are essential for good fruiting.
Harvesting and storage
Harvest the first fruits quickly to encourage continued production . Peppers can be picked green for a more herbaceous flavor or red for a sweeter taste. Store them at 10-12°C , with a relative humidity of 95% , to prolong their freshness .
