Eggplant 'Nord' is an heirloom variety bred by Owen Bridge of Annapolis Seeds from seed sent by a Slovenian curator . It is distinguished by its extremely rapid maturation , ideal for regions with short seasons. Its compact plants produce an abundance of small, lilac-purple fruits that are tasty and versatile in cooking.

Cultivation method
Sow indoors 8 to 12 weeks before the last frost in a warm substrate ( 23-30°C ). Transplant outdoors when night temperatures are above 10°C and the plants are 15-20 cm tall. Provide full sun exposure, rich, well-drained soil, and regular, but not excessive, watering .
Harvesting and conservation
Harvest eggplants when their skin is shiny and firm . A dull skin or a visible fingerprint indicates overripeness. They will store at 10-12°C with 90% humidity for up to a week .
