' Pendulina Orange ' is a compact and incredibly productive Swedish heirloom variety , perfect for growing in pots or hanging baskets. Its dense, drooping foliage gives it an elegant appearance while providing a generous harvest of small, bright orange cherry tomatoes. Its taste is a subtle balance of sweetness and slight acidity, with a texture that is both crisp and juicy.

Cultivation method

Sow seeds 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost , maintaining a temperature of 72 to 82°F (22 to 28°C) . Once the seedlings are 4 to 6 inches (10 to 15 cm) tall, transplant them into the ground or pots after the last frost, spacing them 16 inches (40 cm) apart.

Thanks to its compact shape , 'Pendulina Orange' adapts perfectly to small spaces , particularly in pots, planters and hanging baskets . A rich, well-drained soil and full sun exposure will guarantee an abundant production. Regular watering without excess will prevent cracks and promote very juicy fruits.

Tomato salad 'Pendulina Orange'

Ingredients :

• 500g 'Pendulina Orange' tomatoes, halved
• 1/2 cucumber, diced
• 1/4 red onion, finely chopped
• 1/4 red pepper, diced
• 1/4 yellow pepper, diced
• 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
• 1/4 cup fresh mint, chopped
• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
• Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions :

1. In a large bowl, combine tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, peppers and fresh herbs.
2. In a small bowl, mix the olive oil and balsamic vinegar to make the dressing.
3. Pour the dressing over the salad and mix well.
4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
5. Serve chilled and enjoy!
