Wilson’s ANT OUT ant traps are different from what we typically imagine a trap to be, such as a mouse trap. Rather, they look like bait stations containing a mixture of sugar and protein that attracts ants, as well as borax, a slow-acting agent that kills these insects.
Here’s how they work:
Ants are attracted to the mixture of sugar and protein in the trap.
The borax works slowly, allowing the ants to carry the mixture back to their colony.
The ants share the mixture with the queen and other ants.
The entire colony is eliminated in 3 to 7 days.
These traps are effective indoors and outdoors. You can place them in areas where ants travel, such as patios, porches, decks, flower gardens, vegetable gardens, trees and shrubs, and building foundations. For large infestations, space traps 1.5 to 3 meters apart.
Precautions:
Do not remove the trap cover.
Avoid contaminating food intended for humans and animals (contains peanuts, an allergen).
