Argenteuil ASparagus seeds – Perennial type – untreated and GMO-free seeds

This variety of asparagus produces appetizing medium green vigorous spears that are excellent fresh or quite suitable for freezing. This ancient vegetable is one of the oldest and most common varieties of asparagus, good resistance to rust and wilt.

Asparagus is a perennial vegetable, so you only need to plant them once and enjoy season after season of succulent spears. Seeds can be started indoors in spring for transplanting at the last frost. Bare roots can be planted as soon as they arrive in spring. Rooted plants are ideal for fall and should be planted 4 to 6 weeks before the first fall frost. In 2 years you will have a light harvest and a regular harvest thereafter. When fully established, asparagus plants can produce yields for 20 years or more.
