Gaia / Swiss chard ‘Peppermint’ / Certified Organic by Ecocert Canada / Biennial

Peppermint Swiss Chard seed, Biennial type – Organic certified by Ecocert Canada – Heritage

This rare variety has pink and white striped petioles topped with dark green Savoyard leaves. Each stem has bright pink edges that fade to white in the center. Good candidate for fall and early winter harvests. As the plant matures, the pink border on each stem becomes thicker and darker, but the nutritional value remains the same at all stages of growth. Green chard (not multi-colored) tolerates cold better.
