This variety is very aptly named because the onions produced are exceptionally uniform and stand straight like soldiers without a single leaf bending. Vigorous, they form impeccable rows 20-30 cm high. Because the plants produce few or no bulbs, the clusters of dark green leaves are very easy to clean. Also, in addition to being beautiful, they have this good taste of sweet onion which suits all dishes.
Also called green onions or shallots, bunching onions mature first. They will only keep in the cold for a few weeks.
