Known for having been a key ingredient in the manufacture of a cult alcohol for a whole generation of French poets, absinthe, also known as the “green fairy”, has also been used for a very long time by humanity for its medicinal and hallucinogenic virtues! This imposing perennial (up to 1.5 metres tall!), very little affected by diseases and naturally protected from harmful insects, produces distinctive and distinctive deeply cut leaves with greenish-grey undersides with silvery reflections. In a very sunny and dry area, this plant is an asset to stand out as much by its size as by its color and its magnificent flower heads of yellow flowers attracting pollinators. Finally, wormwood is often cited as an ally in companionship since it is said to repel aphids and flying parasites. Its antis-scented foliage is fragrant at the slightest touch.
