Similar to growing head type lettuce. Sow seeds in successive crops every 2 weeks from June to mid-July as long as the weather is cooler. Sow seeds 3mm (1/8in) deep and 2.5cm (1in) apart with rows 40cm (16in) apart. Thinning 30 cm (12 in) apart.

Keep watering evenly as water stress can cause premature bolting and leaf bitterness. Fall crops can be attempted by sowing between mid and late August. Reward the variety to grow!
