White, sweet and juicy kernels on 8” long ears with 14-18 rows. Harvest quickly- doesn’t keep long in the field. Most plants produce 2 ears. For two years in a row, Tuxana was a favorite among our field trials, holding its own against hybrid varieties. Tuxana was developed by Jonathan Spero of Lupine Knoll Farm in Oregon by breeding from a cross between Anasazi corn and Tuxedo, a sweet hybrid. This strain was released under OSSI – the Open Source Seed Itiniative.
