The Nantes carrot is the most popular with gardeners. Cylindrical in shape, it is an easy carrot to grow but like any other carrot, it is advisable to use protective insect exclusion nets from July, in order to limit access to the carrot fly.
Carrots can be grown in combination with beets, parsnips, kohlrabi, turnips, rutabaga and radishes. Above all, the onion is avoided.
