Why use mycorrhizae (MYKE) when planting and repotting plants?

Mycorrhizae are microscopic fungi found naturally in some soils. The quantity of these fungi is rapidly decreasing as a result of human activities in the soil. Adding mycorrhizae to the soil at planting time is a natural and effective solution to give plants what they need to thrive.

Here are the advantages of using this product:

  • Ensuring a rapid recovery of the roots;
  • Reduces the need for watering;
  • Increases survival;
  • Improves soil structure and prevents erosion;
  • Safe for health and the environment.

For good effectiveness, the product must be applied in direct contact with the plant roots. Wetting the root ball of the plant and rubbing the powder on it will facilitate its adherence. When planting beds or window boxes, be sure to apply MYKE near the roots.

There are three types of products adapted for each group of plants:

  • Myke Tree and Shrub
  • Myke Annual and Perennial
  • Myke Vegetable Garden

Some plants cannot be colonized by mycorrhizae. However, if they are in the presence of the product, it does not harm them:

  • Blueberries
  • Andromeda
  • Kalmia
  • Rhododendrons
  • Azaleas
  • Lupines
  • Carnations
  • Kochias
  • Alyssums
  • Broccoli
